Chicken Nuggets Recipe
Chicken - 200g, boneless, chopped into bite sized pieces
Bread Crumbs - 2 cups
Egg - 1
Italian Herb seasoning* - 1 tsn (or take equal portions of dried oregano, basil and chilli flakes*)
Salt - to taste
Chilli Powder/Paprika - 1/2 tsn
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsn
- Mix the egg, Italian herb seasoning, salt, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and chicken and marinade it for at least 1/2 an hour. This helps all the spices to seep into the meat.
- Heat oil at medium - high heat in a deep pan.
- Take the chicken pieces and one by one, roll them in the bread crumbs and dust off excess bread crumbs gently.
- Deep fry them in the hot oil till they are golden brown. Remove, strain out excess oil and serve hot with some ketchup on the side.
Serve some onion dip, spicy ketchup (ketchup +chilly flakes+oregano), pudina (mint leaf) chutney and mayonnaise in small bowls. Makes for a good party snack.
These nuggets are a perfect snack for the evening or just to accompany you while watching movies. I can hardly think of a person who detests chicken nuggets (unless they are vegetarians and vegans of course!). You can also cook them in a healthier manner by baking them in an oven rather than frying them, using lesser oil. These crunchy nuggets have hardly anything in comparison to beat them..to me, they even top the famed American Chicken Fries. Enjoy them hot or sneak some extras for yourself for later..heehee:)
